South Main Street Galena, Illinois Established 2026

Athleisure, loungewear, candles and loose-leaf tea — at the south end of Main Street in Galena, two blocks below the DeSoto House.

What this is

Serenity isn’t another activewear shop. It’s somewhere to slow down.

Serenity opened in 2026 at 412 South Main Street, in a Greek Revival storefront built in 1848.

Premium athleisure and cozy loungewear. Candles, bath and body, essential oils, and a tea bar of loose leaf. Jewelry, and a shelf of gifts under fifty dollars. Around two hundred pieces on the floor, chosen one at a time.

Every one of them is here to do the same three things: comfort, confidence, self‑care.

Why we’re here

What the shop
is for.

A place to
step away

An hour out of the day, somewhere quiet, with nobody hurrying you. That was the brief before a single thing was ordered.

Chosen,
not stocked

Every piece is picked to promote comfort, confidence and self-care. If it doesn’t do one of those three, it doesn’t come in.

For the weekend
and the week

Galena is a getaway town. It’s also a home town. There’s a shelf here under fifty dollars and there’s something worth saving for.

Slow is
the point

Sit down. Smell the candles. Ask about the tea. Nothing here rewards being in a hurry, including the shopping.

In the shop

Come in and
pick things up.

Everything here is meant to be handled — opened, held, smelled — before you decide. Ask about anything on the shelves and we can tell you where it came from.

A note from the owner

After years of balancing family, work, and everything else life hands you, I wanted to build a place where women could step away from the stress of the day for an hour.

Serenity isn’t another activewear boutique. Every piece here was chosen to promote comfort, confidence, and self‑care — things that encourage slowing down rather than speeding up. Galena is a town people come to for a weekend away, and I wanted somewhere they’d leave feeling refreshed and cared for.

Come in and take your time. That’s the whole idea.
